I'm a 23-year-old nobody who's accomplished nothing worth noting in his life, but that's going to change.

I'm making a huge bet on one thing that I know will one day land me among the most successful people in the world: kindness.

And when I say "bet", I really mean "guarantee" (it's not a bet when you know that you're going to win).

Being dishonest, misleading, or just flat out fake is great way to make short-term gains, pretend that you're someone who you aren't, or to gain people's trust only to disappoint them in the future.

I would rather die as "poor" as I am today knowing that I had led an honest, genuine, and kind life, than sacrifice any one of those things for fame or fortune.

But just to be clear: at the very same time I say that, I am positive that if you are all of those things, the absolute opposite will happen.

If you work hard, be honest with yourself, do what makes you happy… and just be freaking nice to everybody, the chances of you not being successful are as slim as your chances of winning the lottery.

… and that's all I have to say this month — thanks for reading!

Without a doubt, I came to realize a lot of what I wrote about today thanks to a man who I'm been following online lately. His name is Gary Vaynerchuk and he's also without a doubt one of the kindest people alive today.

A lot of people criticize him, but I don't care what the critics have to say — nobody gets to where this man is without consistently delivering on their promises. Those who criticize Gary just don't know him well enough.

I'll leave you today with one of my favorite Gary quotes, and a link to his YouTube channel.

Click the link, learn from Gary, and most importantly: just be kind!

"It's hard to be taken advantage of when you're giving without expectation."

About Jacob

I'm Jacob! I'm the guy this website is named after. No wait... I'm just the guy who made this website. Anyway, I like sharing my wisdom and I'm documenting my life for historical accuracy (because I think I'm going to be rich and successful one day).
